Cancer Full Moonscope

2022's Astrology has the potential for a find-your-soul-and-feel-the-love celebration. January's Full Moon in Cancer gives us permission to take a much needed disco nap before the party starts.

I don't know about you but I feel far too busy for the second week of January. Reminding myself that 'nothing blooms all year round', I've been taking a slowly-does-it approach to the first month of the Gregorian calendar.

While capitalism has other plans, Astrology says "I'm going back to bed. Wake me up at the equinox" and this week's (17th of January) Full Moon in Cancer serves as a reminder that comfort blankets and cuddles are not just a 'nice to have' but a necessity as we drag ourselves through the final few days of calculating and career driven Capricorn season.

Aquarius weather is equally as icy, with a meeting between emboldened Saturn and a reversing Mercury, who also manages to square off between the signs rebellious ruler Uranus. Don't be afraid to step on the breaks; retrogrades aren't the cosmic curse that they're made out to be and can in fact serve as a time to observe where you might be going a little off-track. This Mercury retrograde veers between Aquarius & Capricorn lanes, so don't be surprised if you're questioning the direction of more than one avenue in your life.

Venus, also in Capricorn, is having a retrograde of her own. Revisiting values and valuables in the zodiac's hard-wearing, earthly sign, she'll go direct from 29th January.

If you've been thinking about what really matters in the long run, write it down. What you commit to paper can become a reality.

Speaking of values and valuables, this Full Moon auspiciously takes place as the nodes shift on to 0 degrees of the Taurus / Scorpio axis, signalling a collective systems change for the next eighteen months. I've spoken about this in previous moonscopes, and as the North Node moves into Taurus (with once in a lifetime conjunction with Uranus witnessed later this summer) it's time to find new objects of our desires and release the outdated modes of how we go about getting them. I feel intuitively that any information that comes through for you within the Venus Capricorn Retrograde will serve as a roadmap to navigate this Taurus / Scorpio shift.

Joy of joys, Jupiter is now in its watery domain of Pisces. I know I'm speaking to an informed audience here, but if you've ever doubted the beauty of sensitivity and psychic abilities, now is the time to recognise your superpower. The world is in need of healing. Online and off, any small act of kindness or spark of divine inspiration you can share has the potential to create a wider impact.

After two years of being in a mental and physical cocoon, use your unique butterfly effect and embody the beauty, freedom and transformation you want to see in the world. It is welcome.
